Placer County sheriff's detectives are asking the public's help in identifying the suspect who robbed a Granite Bay bank on the morning of September 12, 2014 . The man entered the River City Bank on Cavitt Stallman Road and passed a note to a teller that stated he had a gun and that he wanted money.

Earlier this week, Citygate Associates informed the Placer County Local Agency Formation Commission it wouldn't perform an analysis into the financial feasibility of the proposed town of Olympic Valley. When asked why, Kristina Berry, executive officer of Placer County LAFCO office, said the reason is unclear, although a perceived potential conflict of interest discussed at LAFCO's Aug. 13 meeting was not a factor.

Squaw Valley Ski Holdings has spent more than a quarter-million dollars to help fund challenges to the Incorporate Olympic Valley movement. The company that owns Squaw Valley and Alpine Meadows ski resorts contributed $100,000, along with $22,843.18 in non-monetary contributions, between June 1 and July 31, bringing its total amount of funding to Save Olympic Valley this calendar year to $253,099.76, according to Fair Political Practices Commission forms filed with Placer County Elections.
